The Planning Begins
Welcome to Meriage Design of Central Texas where planning lays the groundwork for your future site.
Our first meeting might be in person if you are located the Temple/Waco area of Texas, or by phone
or instant messaging for those at a greater distance. This time will be used to start uncovering what it is
you
perceive
to be your site. We will discuss purpose, expectations, budget
and design. We will look at other sites, discuss color, font, and
images. Using your information, I will design sample templates for a starting point. These will be posted
for you to preview and critique. Listening to your feedback, I
will adjust the template of your choice and fine tune it until
the design meets your expectations.
A Flexible Ongoing Process
As we continue developing your site, I will post completed
pages for you to view and update. The internet is an extremely
flexible medium that allows you to experiment with many options
in your web design. Pages are not complete until you say they are complete.
Expense and Timeline
The cost of professional website design varies greatly and
is directly related to the number of pages, images and special
features
your
site
will use. Though I cannot say what your cost will be before I
know what you would like in your site, I can say my prices are
very competitive of other designers of my area. Once I know what
you want, I will present you with an estimate of costs. Should
you decide to add or remove an element to/from your site, you
will be charged only for work I've done.
How quickly I complete a site is directly related to the speed
with which I receive information and answers to my questions.
Once we have done our initial planning, I can give you a timeline
for completion.
Honesty and Integrity
When I am designing your website you can expect to receive honest,
straightforward answers to your questions and needs assessment.
I will not try to sell you on an idea that I have not seen as
a benefit to clients. Some clients feel they need animations on
their site. Before I create and charge you for animations, we
will discuss their benefits and detractors. If your site will
need frequent attention and there is no one in your company to
handle it, then you need a maintenance contract. Otherwise you
may do better paying an hourly fee for only the small adjustments
to your site that may arise.
